Mainnet is where real TRX and USDT live. Fees are real (energy burns or rentals), transactions are permanent, and funds have real value. This is the network every exchange, wallet, and platform on this site uses.

Testnet: the developer sandbox
TRON runs testnets (Shasta, Nile) where developers test contracts with free faucet tokens. Testnet TRX/USDT have zero value. Addresses have the same format — that's the danger.
