Most USDT TRC-20 errors trace to four causes: no energy (fix: rent/stake), no bandwidth (fix: wait or stake), wrong network/address (fix: verify T-address), or insufficient TRX (fix: top up). This guide fixes each one.
Error: insufficient energy
Your energy pool is below ~65,000. Fix: rent 65,000+ energy (fastest), stake TRX (permanent), or let the wallet burn TRX if it offers that option. Full walkthrough in our dedicated guide.
Prevention: rent before you send — every time.
Error: insufficient bandwidth
Your 1,500 free bandwidth points are exhausted. Fix: wait for the daily reset, stake a small TRX amount for bandwidth, or accept the tiny burn. Rare for USDT users — see our explainer.
For USDT transfers the bandwidth portion is small, so this error usually appears on plain TRX sends.
Error: invalid address / network mismatch
The address doesn't match the network. TRC-20 addresses start with T. Sending USDT to an Ethereum (0x) or BSC (0x) address on TRON will fail or lose funds. Fix: confirm the recipient's network and address format before sending.

Error: insufficient TRX / balance
Not enough TRX to cover activation, bandwidth, or an energy burn. Fix: top up TRX (5–10 TRX is a safe working balance per our minimum-balance guide).
If you have USDT but zero TRX and can't buy TRX, use a gas-free service.
Error: transaction pending / stuck
Not an error — usually exchange-side processing or network congestion. Check the hash on TRONSCAN: on-chain means it's delivered. Not on-chain means the sender's wallet/exchange hasn't broadcast it.
